Presence

Why is being present so important and so useful?

There really is only the now. Only this moment. Right now you are reading this article. Right now. Are you fully reading it or are you skimming it? Are you thinking about something else or giving it your whole attention?

You see, most of us are in our thinking minds, if not all the time then most of the time.

We are not free, we are not free from our thoughts.

Our thoughts are based on the past or the future. The past has been and gone and the future is yet to arrive, so essentially, all we have is this moment.

If we can become present in the moment, in this moment, we are not worried about the past. We are not limiting ourselves by our past experiences and we are not projecting into the future, for the future is not here yet.

It is true that we can manifest the future from the now.

The key is to manifest what we would love, using and harnessing the power of now to create, but also to just be is an amazing place of freedom.

Freedom of thought allows freedom of creation to unfold.

The starting point is to notice, then to choose, to chose the present moment.

The more you choose the present, the more it becomes habit. It takes time, but with practice it becomes easier to find.

Try standing outside in nature, observing the trees, the wind, the sun, the sound – just noticing the present.

Being present is a wonderful skill to play around with and master.

Play with it and let me know how you go. Jason@jasonsnaddon.com
